Hard-copy sheet music for "in His eyes" and "Satisified" can be ordered through this website:

http://mindyjostyn.com/sheetmusic.shtml

Downloadable sheet music for those two songs and several others of Mindy's can be purchased from WatchfireMusic.com:

Is it possible to purchase sheet music for Mindy's songs? My church would especially like the sheet music for "In His Eyes" to be used as the solo. Is there a book of sheet music for religious solos by Mindy?

I'll never forget a live performance she did with the Cyclone Rangers at the Georgetown Saloon--a wonderfully small venue. I wish I had a recording of it. She was gracious enough to talk to me at length during an intermission. Quite a nice woman. I have searched on the internet in the past hoping to see her again and found this site. So sorry to hear of her passing. If anyone has any recordings of any of her performances with the Cyclone Rangers, please contact me.

Hello, I'm Cap K, a radio-dj from germany. I will never forget a gig in german television where Mindy sung and played so well with THE HOOTERS. On that gig, she was such a "powerpack"... fantastic. I'm so sad that she is no longer with us, here down on this planet, but hey, Mindy, hi up there, you won't be forgotten. You're in our hearts, forever! xXx : Cap K ~

Mindy , Thanks again for looking down and watching over us . Somewhere between sun's fall and moon's rise , I will jog 5 miles in your honor , while listening to your song " 5 miles from hope . " If anyone reading this could simply do something kind for someone else , that will hopefully bring a smile to someone who needs to smile . May everyone's night have more stars than clouds , your friend , Tom

Mindy was clearly in the moment as she was playing with Andreas Vollenweider and his band.

I didn't know this awful news, quite late ! I remember her at the Santiago concert with Andreas . Such a big talent impressed me a lot and I still remember the joy hearing the excellent alchemy with the other musicians. A great loss indeed , Please my thoughts to her family . Rest in Peace Mindy, we will always remember you . Luis

I was on YouTube today looking/listening at some older Andreas Vollenweider video (playing Molly's Jig). It has some really nice segments showing Mindy playing and adding in her beautiful vocal talent. Always something very special about seeing/hearing her--the love of being part of the music is so apparent. If anyone else has not seen it but would like to, you can see it at http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NFA9sOIy-Qs

I heard Mindy's piece "I and My Father are One" sung in church on Sunday and wondered where I could get this (both on CD and sheet music). It brought tears to my eyes - and touched everyone..

I'm floored. It's 3:30 in the morning and I'm catching up on some reading and a piece about Carly Simon mentions that Mindy had passed. My condolences to her family. More than 20 years ago I was covering some forgettable GOP political event in New York City for my newspaper and the entertainment was provided by Mindy J and the Cyclone Rangers. Her talent blew me away. I ended up doing a feature on Mindy, and used to check her band out at the old Lone Star Cafe in Manhattan. When we became friends, she was trying to "make it" while trying to make rent. Well, I'm happy to say, despite her success, she never changed. Just a beautiful person and amazing talent.

Hi everyone. It's been a while since I've visited Mindy's guestbook.........

Anway, I thought you might all like a little treat! A friend just informed me about a piece of software called "spotify" which I had never heard of before...... (I'm on a mac, but I think it's available for windows too), so I downloaded it and just had a little play with it. Naturally I searched for Mindy Jostyn whilst I was on there and it came up with one song - "Other Guys Girls", but not the normal version on Mindy's album. This version is accousic and is on a compilation album from 1997 called Fast Folk, volume 8, issue 8, Local Charm. It's great to find a new (old?) version of something and I hope you can all get to listen to it. The URL for it is copy pasted below, but if you don't have spotify on your computer it will ask you to download and install it first. spotify:track:4DcxGUPTZE3lueIBAKoA4O

Enjoy! Cheers Russell F

The band in St. Louis was called Mindy Jostyn and the News. We used to follow them around in three different bars, they were great. They had a record and I keep hoping I'll see it at a garage sale. If anybody has it I'd love to get a copy.
